Um dia, durante uma viagem de caça, um homem das cavernas adolescente chamado Tor, juntamente com seu dinossauro tog alado, resgata um velho que, como recompensa, dá a Tor um clube mágico. Quando Tor eleva seu clube para o céu, ele se transforma no Poderoso Poderoso mascarado e musculoso, um super-herói pré-histórico que possui força sobre-humana e o poder de voar através de seu clube, que também pode disparar explosões de energia. Ele também pode transformar Tog em um poderoso dragão cuspidor de fogo.r
Mightor protege sua aldeia de malfeitores. Entre os aldeões estão o chefe, Pondo, e sua filha, a bela Sheera ruiva. Sheera tem um irmão mais novo chamado Little Rok, que adora fingir ser Poderoso. Os personagens têm vários animais de estimação, incluindo o pássaro dodô de Little Rok, Ork, e o bezerro mamute de Sheera, Bollo.
